What is soul made up of?

I was just reading about the Hindu concepts of Atman and Paramatman and this question hit me. In some philosophies of Hinduism, like Dvaita, there is a distinction between Atman (the individual soul) and Paramatman (the Supreme soul). In that case, the Atman is what manifests as us, people, by taking a body. They say that this atman is trapped inside the body and is waiting to be liberated (called Moksha). Now my question is what is this atman made up of? They say its not physical. Its not the mind either. Then how is it trapped inside a physical body? How can something non-physical be trapped inside a physical body? What is it then made up of?

In pursuit of the One

For quite sometime, I have developed in me, either consciously or otherwise, an urge to understand the truth, the reality, or what most people call 'the One', the one truth that is responsible for all that is going on around us. I have and am still searching for answers. Having been born as a Hindu, I find myself closer to the legacy of Vedic scriptures left to us by our ancestors. They have answers but I don't know what questions to ask and where to look. I am trying. I am striving. And here I will write about my pursuit as a Jnana yogi (am I? I dont know..) to understand the truth behind it all.. the One. If not answers, atleast I will record my questions..
